Prime Minister of Burkina Faso, Apollinaire Joachimson Kyelem de Tambela, has expressed the country’s intention to join BRICS during a meeting with Russian Ambassador to Ouagadougou, Igor Martynov, according to a report.
The Prime Minister met with the Russian ambassador in Ouagadougou, where they discussed bilateral cooperation in nuclear energy, economic development, and political affairs.
The Prime Minister also emphasised the need for Burkina Faso to join BRICS to help “counter the dominance of the West.”
