Serbia caught between BRICS and Europe

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić is considering an invitation to attend a BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia, in October this year, according to a Euronews  report.

The invitation marks a significant development in global geopolitics, highlighting the expanding influence and outreach of the BRICS alliance. Serbia’s inclusion underscores efforts to broaden its scope and engage with countries beyond its original member states of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.

For Serbia, this invitation represents a diplomatic achievement and recognition of its strategic importance in the region. Situated at the crossroads of Europe and the Balkans, Serbia serves as a key player in regional stability and economic development.
