China’s Jiangsu reports record foreign trade with BRICS members

In the first two months of 2024, Jiangsu Province, a key economic hub in eastern China, witnessed a significant surge in its foreign trade with BRICS nations, reaching a record high of 102.22 billion yuan (approximately 14.4 billion U.S. dollars).

Particularly noteworthy were the trade volumes between Jiangsu and India, amounting to 25.31 billion yuan, and between Jiangsu and Brazil, totaling 23.87 billion yuan during the same period. These figures indicate year-on-year growth rates of 12.1 percent and 36.4 percent, respectively.
