
Brazil will welcome foreign ministers from all 11 BRICS nations to Rio de Janeiro on April 28-29, as confirmed by Ambassador Mauricio Lyrio. This high-level meeting marks the first major ministerial gathering under Brazil’s 2025 BRICS presidency.
Ahead of the event, the second Sherpa Meeting will take place from April 24-27.
The expanded BRICS, now representing 46% of global GDP, includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Ethiopia, UAE, Iran, and Indonesia.
Since assuming the rotating presidency on January 1, Brazil has scheduled over 100 ministerial and technical meetings through July.
