Indonesia is eager to participate in the BRICS online platform initiative, viewing it as a gateway to deeper cultural collaboration, according to Indonesian Culture Minister Fadli Zon.
In October 2024, Russian Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova proposed a unified BRICS platform to share films, TV series, and live cultural broadcasts among member states. With Indonesia’s BRICS membership, Zon sees new possibilities for creative partnerships and discussions on cultural policy and heritage preservation.
