St. Peterburg meeting to focus on BRICS plans for its own parliament

BRICS, represented by senior lawmaker Leonid Slutsky, aims to establish an “independent parliamentary dimension” to enhance its integration efforts. This initiative will be a focal point at the upcoming 10th BRICS Parliamentary Forum in St. Petersburg, where speakers from member countries will convene.

Slutsky highlighted the role of international affairs committees in national parliaments. These committees will play a pivotal role in shaping the framework and agenda of the parliamentary dimension.
