A coalition of nations convening in Rome has reached an agreement on a plan to mobilise $200 billion annually by 2030 to stop and reverse the destruction of the natural world.
The UN’s COP16 biodiversity talks, which began last October in Colombia, initially stalled due to unresolved issues such as funding sources, collection mechanisms, and oversight responsibilities.
