Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk expressed Russia’s support for Pakistan’s request to join the BRICS group.
During a press conference following his meeting with Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad, Overchuk said, “We are pleased with Pakistan’s application to join BRICS,” according to the Russian news agency TASS. He highlighted the recent expansion of BRICS, noting the growing interest from countries worldwide, and emphasised the strong ties between Russia and Pakistan.
