Iran’s top security official says BRICS has potential to help establish new global security framework

Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary General of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), says BRICS has the potential to establish a new security structure to safeguard the future of the international community, Press TV reports.

Speaking at a meeting of BRICS security officials in St. Petersburg on Wednesday, Ahmadian emphasized the transformative period the world is currently experiencing. He highlighted BRICS’ significant population, economic strength, and global influence, noting that the bloc could play a pivotal role as an innovator in shaping a new security framework for the evolving global order.
