
The 13th International Meeting of High-Level Security Representatives began in Moscow, bringing together delegates from over 100 countries.
On the sidelines of the summit, Russia’s Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu held bilateral discussions with several key figures, including Bosnian Serb President Milorad Dodik, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Akbar Ahmadian, and North Korea’s State Security Minister Ri Chang-dae.
During his meeting with Ahmadian, Shoigu expressed hope that Iran would soon ratify a strategic partnership agreement with Russia. He also commended the strength of Russia–North Korea relations amid today’s complex geopolitical climate.
The summit, running from May 27–29, drew 126 delegations from 104 countries, including members of BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the League of Arab States, the African Union, the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), and other international bodies.
