During a meeting of BRICS chief negotiators in Brasília, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva criticised the policies of U.S. President Donald Trump without mentioning him by name.
Lula condemned actions that undermine the World Health Organisation (WHO), promote protectionism, and disregard the climate crisis. His remarks appeared to target U.S. policies such as withdrawing from the WHO and the Paris Agreement, imposing trade tariffs, and favouring large technology corporations.
