Vietnam carefully evaluates its participation in international mechanisms based on the country’s conditions and capabilities, the spokesperson for the Vietnamese foreign ministry stated when asked about the possibility of joining BRICS.
During the regular press briefing in Hà Nội, the spokesperson addressed inquiries regarding Vietnam’s potential interest in joining BRICS.
Phạm Thu Hằng said that, as an active and responsible member of the international community, Vietnam has been, and will continue to be, a proactive contributor to multilateral mechanisms, organizations, and forums.
