The Rio de Janeiro City Hall has formed a new committee to oversee all projects and activities related to Brazil’s BRICS presidency this year, including the BRICS Summit in July.
The Rio BRICS Committee will provide institutional and financial support for events linked to public entities, international organizations, and non-profits. While over 100 meetings are planned between February and July, the BRICS Summit is the only event confirmed to take place in Rio, positioning the city as a key diplomatic hub.
