Russia has officially concluded its chairmanship of BRICS, according to Sergey Kopyrkin, Russia’s Ambassador to Armenia, as reported by Sputnik Armenia.
Kopyrkin stated that if Armenia expresses interest in strengthening ties with BRICS, Russia is prepared to offer support “in the spirit of allied relations.”
As the BRICS chair in 2024, Russia actively worked to enhance cooperation in three key areas: “politics and security,” “economics and finance,” and “cultural and humanitarian exchanges.”
The high point of Russia’s BRICS presidency was the October summit in Kazan, which saw the participation of around twenty thousand attendees, including delegations from thirty-five countries and six international organizations.
“The official delegation from Armenia, led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, also attended the Kazan summit,” the Ambassador added.
