Vice President Kashim Shettima has praised the strengthening economic ties between Nigeria and BRICS nations, noting a remarkable $1.27 billion influx of foreign capital from the group as of June.
This inflow represents a significant increase from $438.72 million during the same period in 2023.
Nigeria officially became a partner country of the BRICS economic alliance in October, joining 12 other nations. The announcement was made during the BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia, held from October 22 to 24, 2024.
