Russia proposes consortium for engine construction to BRICS partners

In a significant development for the BRICS alliance, Russia’s Industry and Trade Ministry has proposed the creation of a multinational consortium focused on engine construction. Russian Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov announced this initiative following a recent meeting between the industry ministers of BRICS countries.

The proposed consortium aims to pool resources and expertise from BRICS nations to advance the development of both aircraft and power engines. This strategic move is designed to enhance technological collaboration and innovation across the member states. By leveraging the collective strengths of BRICS countries, the consortium seeks to address critical challenges in engine manufacturing and establish a robust supply chain that benefits all participating countries.

The creation of such a consortium reflects the BRICS group’s commitment to deepening economic ties and fostering industrial cooperation. It also positions the alliance as a formidable player in the global engine market, capable of competing with established industry leaders. The next steps will involve detailed discussions and planning among BRICS partners to outline the consortium’s structure and objectives.
