Abdullah Bin Touq Al Marri, UAE’s Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Emirates Tourism Council, led the UAE delegation at the first BRICS tourism forum in Moscow, Gulf Today reports.
He stressed the UAE’s dedication to enhancing tourism collaboration with BRICS nations and pursuing sustainable tourism partnerships. These efforts aim to drive economic growth, cultural exchange, and knowledge transfer, reinforcing the UAE’s status as a top global tourism destination in line with the “UAE Vision 2031”. The Minister highlighted the importance of improving air connectivity, infrastructure, and digital transformation to boost tourism flows and provide unique experiences for travellers. He noted the strong recovery of the global tourism industry, with revenues reaching $1.6 trillion in 2023, according to the UN World Tourism Organisation.
