South African smartwatch maker joins BRICS Business Council

Start-up firm Khoi Tech,  which gained recognition for its innovative smartwatch, has joined the manufacturing group of the BRICS Business Council. Its Khoi Afriwatch1 offers real-time monitoring of vital health metrics such as heart rate, body temperature, blood oxygen saturation, stress levels, and sleep patterns.

The BRICS Business Council’s manufacturing group serves as a collaborative platform for businesses across Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa to foster cooperation and synergy. Khoi Tech’s inclusion in this group is anticipated to provide a valuable opportunity to showcase South Africa’s technological advancements on a global stage.

In a statement, Khoi Tech expressed its enthusiasm about joining the BRICS Business Council, emphasizing the potential to highlight South Africa’s technological prowess.
