Two original documentaries produced by TV BRICS were officially selected and screened at the second edition of the I-Film Festival in Abu Dhabi, held from 11 to 13 April 2025. Organised by the Innovative Film Academy (IFA), the festival brought together filmmakers and media innovators from across the globe to explore new creative frontiers and the intersection of storytelling, technology, and international cooperation.
According to SEE News, the films included Uralian Anomaly and Partitura. Young Music of Russia. Directed by Andrey Porshnyak and written by Ksenia Komissarova, Uralian Anomaly explores the lives of geologists and cutting-edge gold mining technologies in Russia’s Sverdlovsk Region. The documentary had previously been featured at the “Rendezvous with Russia: Siberian Character” film festival.
The second feature, Partitura. Young Music of Russia, directed by Ivan Zakharenko, shines a spotlight on finalists from the III All-Russian Competition of Young Composers “Partitura.” Premiered in February 2025, the film highlights the next generation of Russian musical talent and was produced with support from TV BRICS.
The event also featured a panel discussion titled “Media, Education & Talent Development: Embracing Technological Advancement & Future Trends,” held on 12 April. Konstantin Khasanov, International Projects Manager at TV BRICS, joined other international speakers to discuss evolving media landscapes. Festival Director Upasana Mittal praised TV BRICS’ ongoing collaboration with IFA, stating that the partnership plays a key role in “building cultural bridges through media and innovation,” as reported by SEE News.
The I-Film Festival concluded with a series of workshops on AI in filmmaking, animation, and global storytelling — including a masterclass by legendary Indian composer Ilaiyaraaja, whose contributions to cinema span more than 1,400 film scores.
