Donald Trump’s return to the White House in January 2025 will not hinder BRICS development, says José Juan Sanches, president of Brazilian analytical agency CMA Group, in an interview with TASS.
According to Sanches, BRICS nations are poised to continue strengthening their economic ties, regardless of future U.S. policies.
“We can look at this from two angles: economics and politics. From an economic perspective—which is largely shaped by global market conditions—BRICS progress will remain steady,” he explained.
However, Sanches noted that the new administration might attempt to limit BRICS expansion, especially concerning the inclusion of new partners in the “BRICS Plus” framework.
