Chinese President Xi Jinping has urged BRICS Plus countries to pursue common security, shared development, and foster harmony among civilisations.
Speaking at the BRICS Plus leaders’ dialogue, Xi said that the collective rise of the Global South is a defining aspect of the ongoing global transformation. He highlighted that Global South nations advancing together toward modernisation marks a historic and unprecedented moment in human civilisation.
However, Xi acknowledged the significant challenges to peace and development that remain, warning that the path to prosperity for the Global South will not be easy.
